対象は3年生から10年生です（2026年9月時点）。北米で実施されているサマーキャンプの中で一番ポピュラーとされる2週間のキャンプです。10人前後の男女別、同年代（年齢幅は概ね４学年）のグループが構成され、カウンセラー（18歳以上）やジュニアカウンセラー（17歳）が生活を共にしながら、子どもたち同士の関係性の成熟や生活全般をサポートします。お互いに助け合いながら日本語での生活を大切にします。低学年のキャンパーは新たな冒険や挑戦、文化やスキルを体験する中で、自らの勇気に驚かされることでしょう。そしてティーンのキャンパーが仲間に刺激されキャンプコミュニティーに貢献する姿、参加者から若きリーダーへの変化を私たちはいつも目の当たりにしています。東京キャンプは楽しく、刺激的で、挑戦に満ちています。
（1晩を星空の下で寝るプログラムがあります。平日の午前中はスポーツやアーツ＆クラフト、ファイアスキルなどアクティビティ―を選択します。セッション２の午前中はスポーツが中心です。）個人で参加するキャンパーも多く、家族旅行や友人同士との旅行とは異なった価値があります。幅広い年齢が集まり家族のようなキャンプを作るのもこのキャンプの特徴です。グループ分けの最終判断はYMCAに一任していただきます。予めご了承ください。

For Children Entering Grades 3-10 (as of September 2026). This two-week camp is considered North America's most popular summer camp. Campers are organized into groups of around 10 boys/girls and live together with a counselor (18 years old or older) and a junior counselor (17 years old). With the counselors' support, the campers will build strong relationships and develop a sense of belonging while valuing the Japanese language in their everyday interactions.
Young campers surprise themselves with their courage as they experience new adventures, cultures, challenges, and skills.
And we witness the transformation from camper to young leader, as teens exceed their own expectations. Tokyo Camp is fun, exciting, and challenging.
(Including one night sleeping under the stars. On weekday mornings, choose activities such as sports, arts & crafts, or fire skills etc. Session 2 focuses on sports.) Activities are conducted in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. This is perfect for first-time campers who are not yet ready for a two-week camp. Live together with a counselor (18 years old or older) and a junior counselor (17 years old). With the counselors' support, the campers will build strong relationships and develop a sense of belonging while valuing the Japanese language in their everyday interactions. If you plan to register with a friend, we ask that you register with the understanding that we can not guarantee placement in the same group. For Children Entering Grades 5-10 (as of September 2026).Summer Camp at the Tokyo Frost Valley YMCA Partnership provides the American summer camp experience in Japanese. Most activities are just like the rest of camp, while other activities are closely tied with Japanese culture. 

Have you ever been curious about Tokyo Village? This is the inaugural year of our Immersion NAKAMA camp, designed for English-speaking campers eager to deepen their understanding of Japanese culture. The program focuses on cultural immersion—exploring everyday norms, traditional and contemporary arts, and broader aspects of Japanese life. Our goal is to create an inclusive space where campers of all backgrounds can experience, learn, and celebrate Japanese culture together, while building lifelong friendships. Campers will be guided through a Japanese language camp with personalized support and cultural education sessions.

“NAKAMA” means friends like family. This camp offers the chance to experience Japanese culture and customs while in America, and to meet lifelong friends. Participants join the Challenge Camp (Tokyo Camp) held every summer by the Tokyo-Frost Valley YMCA Partnership. The camp is run in Japanese. While many participants are children with Japanese roots, many have never lived in Japan or find the language challenging. On the other hand, some campers have lived longer in Japan and speak Japanese as their native language. While language barriers can be a challenge each summer, everyone comes together to foster a sense of community. Bilingual Japanese-English staff live alongside the campers, providing support and ensuring that everyone feels included. In recent years, inquiries have increased from families without Japanese roots who are interested in Tokyo camp (3 participants in the 2025 Summer Camp). 対象年齢は16歳（キャンプ開始までに）です。将来YMCAのリーダーになりたい、リーダーシップを学びたい、そんな方を対象としたトレーニングキャンプです。キャンプを楽しみながらリーダー体験やボランティア活動を経験し、奉仕の喜びを体験的に学ぶことを目的としています。子どもたちの年齢に近い立場を活かして、子どもたちと生活を共にしながらリーダーの役割について学びます。キャンプ中はスタッフとミーティングの時間を持ち、フィードバックをしながら、リーダーに求められるキャンパーの理解、グループワーク、安全の知識、野外活動スキルトレーニングを実施します。お互いに助け合いながら日本語での生活を大切にします。セッション1，２，３は同じ内容です。

This program is for children who will be 16 years old by the start of camp.

A Counselors-In-Training (CIT) will learn their roles as future camp staff through hands-on experience and guided activities.  CITs will build strong relationships and develop a sense of belonging while valuing the Japanese language in their everyday interactions.
